Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Service Technician to install and service vending and merchandising equipment at client sites in the Jackson Center area. You will educate clients on operating new equipment and perform routine maintenance.

This role requires strong mechanical and technical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift heavy equipment. You will build relationships with customers and coordinate parts for repairs, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in repair of automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues and perform appropriate repairs.
• Excellent interpersonal communication with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area.

• Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area
• Educate the client on how to effectively use new equipment
• Execute minor vending equipment repairs
• Remove outdated and unused equipment
• Test vending equipment to ensure proper function
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on vending and merchandising equipment
• Build and maintain client and customer relationships
• Order parts needed to complete repairs

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Previous experience in the repair of automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances preferred
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and make appropriate repairsExcellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers
• Valid Driver's License (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when needed
