Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Service Technician to install, educate, repair, and maintain vending and merchandising equipment at client locations within a designated area. The role emphasizes customer relations, preventative maintenance, and timely parts ordering.

Required are a strong mechanical/technical aptitude, the ability to troubleshoot and repair, and a valid driver's license. Prior experience with vending equipment is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and make appropriate repairs as needed.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record are required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install new equipment at client locations within a designated area
• Educate the client on how to effectively use new equipment
• Execute minor vending equipment repairs
• Remove outdated and unused equipment
• Test vending equipment to ensure proper function
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on vending and merchandising equipment
• Build and maintain client and customer relationships
• Order parts needed to complete repairs

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Previous experience in the repair of automated vending and merchandising equipment or small appliances preferred
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Technical ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and make appropriate repairs
• Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with team members and customers
• Valid Driver's License (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment when needed
