We are seeking an Systems Integration Technician to support the development and validation of next-generation electric vehicle systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of hardware and software, building test environments, supporting integration activities, and troubleshooting complex system issues.
You will work closely with electrical, software, and systems engineering teams to build and maintain development platforms, validate functionality, and help diagnose integration challenges throughout the product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, and maintain HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) systems, test benches, and prototype development platforms.
- Support system validation and functional testing of electrical and software-integrated systems.
- Flash software onto vehicle modules and testing hardware.
- Troubleshoot electrical, network, and system integration issues alongside engineering teams.
- Use vehicle network analysis and diagnostic tools to monitor and validate communications.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and network architectures.
- Execute Linux command-line operations and review system logs to identify faults and error conditions.
- Work with software and hardware engineers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve technical issues.
- Track testing activities, bugs, and validation results using Jira and related tools.
- Support prototype vehicle builds and developmental testing activities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience supporting vehicle testing, electrical integration, prototype development, or laboratory environments.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle communication and diagnostic tools such as:
- Vector CANoe
- Vehicle Spy
- Intrepid
- Similar network analysis tools
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and automotive communication networks.
- Experience working in Linux environments and using command-line tools.
- Familiarity with Python for reviewing scripts, logs, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, electrical diagrams, and system documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building test benches, prototype systems, or electrical validation platforms.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols including CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced engineering and product development environment.
