Job summary

Technicon Design US in the southern Los Angeles area is seeking an experienced automotive Vehicle Integration Technician to work in a collaborative lab shaping the vehicles of tomorrow.

This contract opportunity (6 months to 1 year to start) focuses on diagnosing and repairing ECUs and PCBs, wiring harnesses, and active testing using test stations, with emphasis on practical soldering and hands-on testing in a lab environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years experience in electronic/engineering labs.
• Technology/Technician degree or equivalent experience.
• Electric vehicle experience preferred.
• Strong electrical knowledge with soldering and harnessing skills.
• Familiarity with test equipment like voltmeters, oscilloscopes and network analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair ECUs and PCBs, including prototypes and test bench setups.

• Maintain detailed records of work completed and create documentation for test and assembly processes.
• Rework printed circuit boards according to engineering specifications and standards.

This position is located in the southern Los Angeles area. It is a contract opportunity (6 months to 1 year to start).

Job Functions

• Diagnose and repair ECU’s and PCB’s, including prototypes and test bench setups.
• Communicate with fellow team members (engineers, managers or other technicians) to provide technical support.
• Maintain detailed records of work completed and create documentation for test and assembly processes.
• Rework printed circuit boards according to engineering specifications and standards.
• This position is for someone with basic skills of soldering, making wiring harnesses, testing components and PCB’s using “test stations”, not analytical testing. Small units will be assembled and sent for assembly into Electric vehicles.
