Job summary

Bridgestone Americas is seeking an Automotive Technician to learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. You will perform routine inspections, assist in repair procedures, and explain repair steps to customers in a fast-paced service environment.

The role offers a sign-on bonus of $1,500 for first-time hires and hourly pay between $19.25 and $28.93, with a flat-rate model that rewards completed tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
• Valid automobile driver's license at all times, and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.
• A.S.E. certification or other external qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Change oil and perform other scheduled maintenance services.
• Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Install batteries and test electrical systems.
• Maintain tires and perform tire maintenance.
• Install parts.
• Road test vehicles.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1–A8 within the first two years of employment; company pays exam fees and awards a bonus for each test passed.

As a vital member, you will learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Your responsibilities include performing routine inspections, assisting in repair procedures, and interacting with customers to explain repair procedures, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional service. The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay Range

Hourly: $19.25 – $28.93. Compensation is based on a flat‑rate model that rewards completed tasks at a predetermined rate. Rates reflect regional productivity averages.

• A.S.E. certification or other external qualifications.
