Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group in Arlington Heights is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to repair and maintain vehicles per dealer and factory standards. You will diagnose issues, communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors, and build customer loyalty by delivering trustworthy service.

Qualifications

• Experience as Automotive Service Technician.
• ASE certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive customer loyalty.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including employees and customers.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory‑sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Notify store management of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area.

Located at Napleton's Arlington Heights CDJR, the Automotive Service Technician will be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
