Compensation

Position pays $25.00 per hour or $40.00 per hour flat rate, based on experience.

Job Description
About the Role:

The Technician role is full-time or part-time, hourly, based on business needs. The Technician is responsible for vehicle diagnostics and routine repairs and maintenance, delivering exceptional 5-star service through effective communication and meeting guest expectations for time and quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic vehicle diagnostics and identify necessary repairs.
  • Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, documenting and communicating additional services needed; audit courtesy inspections by General Service Technicians.
  • Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and ensure guest readiness.
  • Perform services in accordance with safety standards and procedures.
  • Test drive vehicles following company policies, adhering to traffic and safety laws.
  • Follow company policies, governmental standards, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through timely completion of training courses.
  • Operate and maintain equipment safely per guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Profile Summary:
  • Basic automotive maintenance, repair, and tire service skills.
  • Ability to diagnose problems and identify solutions.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in various formats.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Work occurs in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Must be able to work flexible hours, lift up to 75 lbs, and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, reaching, and bending.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive training or experience.
  • ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and good MVR.
  • Own basic tools or participate in company’s tool program.
