Job Description
About the Role:
Pay Information: Up to $20 Guarantee and $40 Flat Rate
This full-time or part-time hourly position involves conducting vehicle diagnostics and performing routine repairs and maintenance according to company standards and manufacturer specifications. The role emphasizes delivering excellent service, effective communication, and meeting guest expectations for time and quality.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform basic vehicle diagnostics and identify necessary repairs.
  2. Complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every vehicle, documenting and communicating additional needed services; audit courtesy inspections by General Service Technicians.
  3. Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, and stocking inventory.
  4. Maintain store cleanliness and ensure it is guest-ready.
  5. Perform services safely, adhering to safety standards and procedures.
  6. Test drive vehicles following Monro’s policies, using designated routes and obeying traffic laws.
  7. Follow company policies, governmental standards, and safety protocols.
  8. Maintain technical knowledge through Monro University training modules.
  9. Operate and maintain equipment safely, including lifts and welders.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Automotive training or equivalent experience.
  3. ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred.
  4. Valid driver’s license and a good Motor Vehicle Report.
  5. Own basic tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Work in an automotive shop environment with exposure to noise, weather, chemicals, and dust.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
