Job summary

Belle Tire's Auto Tech Development Program is an entry-level track designed to grow the next generation of Certified Automotive Technicians. Trainees work with an experienced mentor, gain hands-on shop experience, and can progress to a fully qualified Automotive Technician within six months.

The program targets current students or recent graduates from automotive technology programs, offering exposure to diverse vehicle systems in a fast-paced retail setting while working on real customer

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate (within 6 months) of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program.
• Completion of coursework in brakes and steering/suspension preferred.
• State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Secure vehicles to lifts and alignment machines for safe operation.
• Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues and performing repairs.
• Support brakes, suspension, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Learn repair techniques across multiple systems and communicate repairs to customers.

ASE-accredited automotive technology program

State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit

Valid driver’s license
