Belle Tire is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician Trainee to join its Auto Tech Development Program. This structured program pairs you with a certified mentor, offering hands-on training and milestones to progress into a fully qualified technician within six months.

Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an automotive technology program, with access to a toolkit and a willingness to learn across vehicle systems in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate (within 6 months) of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program.
• Completion of coursework in brakes and steering/suspension preferred.
• State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain required tools within designated timeframe(program support available).

Responsibilities

• Secure vehicles to lifts and alignment machines safely.
• Assist with diagnosing issues and repairs.
• Support brakes, suspension, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Learn repair techniques across multiple vehicle systems.
• Communicate with team and explain repairs when needed.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Stay current with evolving automotive technology and tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Complete required training milestones and competencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store leadership.
