Job summary

Belle Tire's Auto Tech Development Program offers an entry-level Automotive Technician Trainee role designed to develop the next generation of Certified Automotive Technicians. Trainees work with an Auto Tech Mentor, gain hands-on shop experience, and progress into a fully qualified Technician within 6 months.

Ideal for students or recent graduates in automotive technology, you'll service real customer vehicles in a fast-paced retail environment, learn across systems, and pursue ASE

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate of an ASE-accredited automotive technology program.
• State of Michigan Mechanic Trainee Permit (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must obtain required tools within designated timeframe (program support available).

Responsibilities

• Secure vehicles to lifts and alignment machines for safe operation.
• Assist with diagnosing vehicle issues and performing necessary repairs.
• Support brakes, suspension, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Learn and apply repair techniques across multiple vehicle systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and explain repairs when needed.
