Job summary

SONS Automotive Group in Union City, GA is seeking a Service Technician for its service department. The ideal candidate has a strong automotive background and is eager to learn; novice technicians are encouraged to apply as training is provided.

Responsibilities include performing repairs per repair orders, test-driving vehicles, diagnostics with tools, communicating with Service Advisor, and executing warranty repairs to manufacturer specs. ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong automotive background.
• Teamwork skills are essential.
• Willing to submit to drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and according to dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, steering, brakes, A/C).
• Communicate with Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications:

• ASE certifications preferred
