Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced automotive engineer to lead component and system design for commercial vehicle programs. You will define interfaces for actuation, controls, sensing, and surrounding vehicle systems while developing CAD models and production releases.

The role requires 5+ years of automotive engineering, CAD proficiency (CATIA variants), GD&T and DFMA know-how, and strong problem-solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years automotive/commercial vehicle engineering experience.
• 2+ years CAD experience (CATIA 3DX, 3DEXPERIENCE or V5).
• GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• DFMA and serviceability principles.
• Problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Define component and system engineering requirements.
• Create and develop engineering designs and concepts.
• Perform packaging, tolerance, and feasibility studies.
• Develop CAD models, drawings, and engineering releases.
• Support CAE, prototype builds, testing, Sourcing and validation activities.
• Resolve design, manufacturing, quality, and launch issues.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage engineering changes and documentation.
• Proven background in concept-to-production vehicle development and problem-solving
