Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a System Software Integration and Validation Engineer in Michigan. You will design, develop, and execute verification and validation activities to ensure safety and performance of automotive software.

Lead cross-functional teams across hardware, software and systems engineering to drive robust test environments. You will build complex test benches, implement automation tools, and develop comprehensive V&V plans for ECU-level and system-level testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 6+ years of experience in the automotive or relevant industry.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, embedded software, and control systems.
• Proficiency with automotive testing instrumentation and tools.
• Experience with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and FlexRay protocols.
• Experience with IDLs such as DBC, LDF, ARXML.
• Experience with HIL test benches (dSPACE, Vector VT) and tooling.
• Experience in system-level debugging and cross-domain integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain automotive system level test benches with automation focus.
• Develop verification and validation plans for automotive software systems.
• Design and execute test cases to verify functionality, performance and safety.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Integrate hardware and software components for scalable test environments.
• Lead debugging with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and prevent regressions.
• Collaborate with software, controls, and systems engineers to define V&V strategies.
• Continuously improve testing processes and tools.
• Prepare and present verification reports to stakeholders.
• Review warranty data to identify trends and corrective actions.
