Job summary

IAV Automotive Engineering, based in Novi, MI, is seeking a System Integration & Testing Engineer (MLP / Senior) to lead test planning, integration, and validation across vehicle development programs. You will integrate ECUs, sensors, actuators, and networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and manage software release processes across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with automotive test tools: dSPACE, NI, CANoe, CANalyzer, Vehicle Spy.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Knowledge of ASPICE, V-model, and Agile processes.
• Experience across full vehicle development lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Familiarity with ECU diagnostics, network simulation, and communication protocols.
• Experience in improving test processes, automation coverage, and system validation strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead test planning, integration management, change management, and software release management for vehicle development programs.
• Integrate embedded software, ECUs, sensors, actuators, and communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Manage configuration, flashing, and version control of software into ECUs.
• Develop test scope, schedules, and bench integration environments with defined requirements for simulator I/O, instrumentation, and automation solutions.
• Design and manage test environments and instrumentation strategies for automated and functional integration testing of distributed vehicle features.
• Collaborate across Software, Hardware, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and test execution.
• Perform test bench integration across ECUs and HIL systems; troubleshoot hardware/software issues early.
• Execute manual and automated testing, analyze results, and generate detailed reports aligned with sprint/program schedules.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to expand automation and test reliability.
