Job summary

NAPA is seeking a store leader to oversee daily operations, sales performance and staff development in a fast-paced auto parts environment. You will coach associates, ensure service excellence and maintain accurate merchandise handling.

Responsibilities include inventory controls, safe work practices, and effective vendor relations. The role requires strong leadership and problem-solving in a customer-focused setting at our Illinois location.

Qualifications

• Requires leadership in the automotive after-market service industry or related setting.
• Bachelor’s-level technical training is a plus but not required.
• Strong customer focus and ability to coach and develop a high-performance team.

Responsibilities

• Monitors store sales performance daily, weekly, monthly and year to date.
• Identifies problems and solves them effectively.
• Develops strong customer relations and maintains high level of service.
• Addresses customer questions quickly and accurately.
• Supervises and coaches store employees and evaluates performance.
• Minimizes inventory shrinkage through proper procedures.
• Ensures timely receipt and proper storage of merchandise.
• Maintains safe work environment and ensures HazMat training when required.
• Works with District Office to manage procurement card controls.
• Negotiates with vendors on pricing, inventory and service to build relationships.
