The Midas Store Manager is responsible for business operations and store performance, including safety, efficiencies, and profit/loss accountability. He or she promotes customer satisfaction and retention, and growth of existing and new business. Additionally, the Store Manager oversees overall operations related to cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and safety, providing strong leadership to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

We seek a manager with an entrepreneurial spirit who will take responsibility for operations, financial performance, morale, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate has a college degree or coursework (preferred), five years of automotive repair experience, supervisory/management experience, a background in continuous improvement, P&L experience, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in shop operations
• Train, motivate, evaluate, schedule, and coach employees
• Deliver exceptional customer service, listen and consult with customers
• Follow up with customers regarding services requested and estimated completion times
• Oversee vehicle inspections, make recommendations, build repair orders, source parts
• Discuss pricing estimates and promote shop service specials
• Lead, manage, and train team while aligning with company values
• Oversee sales, accounting, and clerical functions
• Supervise technicians’ inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on various vehicles
• Maintain inventory counts and manage inventory losses
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and environmental compliance of the facility
• Update and submit daily sales reports

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of store or service management experience
• General automotive knowledge
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good communication skills
• Proficiency with POS systems and the Internet
• Leadership and team-building abilities
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Valid driver’s license

Compensation: $60,000 - $72,000 per year
