Job summary

Mapbox Japan is seeking a Solutions Architect to design and deliver location-enabled solutions for customers across industries. You will partner with sales to understand needs, craft architectures, and present scalable maps and data-driven architectures using Mapbox SDKs and APIs.

The role requires 5+ years in solutions architecture or related consulting, and fluency in Japanese and English. Location in Japan is mandatory; AWS/Azure/GCP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in solutions architecture or customer-facing engineering.
• Fluent in Japanese and English, written and spoken.
• Must reside in Japan with legal work eligibility.
• Strong knowledge of web/mobile tech and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to articulate Mapbox's technical value.
• Lead technical discovery to capture goals and success criteria.
• Design scalable architectures using Mapbox SDKs and APIs.
• Prepare RFI/RFQ responses with clear docs and proposals.
• Provide pre-sales guidance and run workshops and PoC/PoV.
• Drive customer success and accelerate value realization.
• Gather feedback to inform product and engineering.
• Stay updated on mapping, mobility, and AI trends.
