Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services and support the tire and service department. The role emphasizes a strong customer experience and learning in a fast-paced environment.

You will gain hands-on experience with oil changes, tire maintenance, battery checks, and inspections while upholding safety and cleanliness standards across the shop.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Passion for a career as an automotive technician.
• Eager to learn and driven to succeed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to work variable shifts including days, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems including brakes and suspensions.
• Stay updated on new automotive technologies through training.
• Perform oil changes and tire maintenance.
• Install batteries, headlights, wipers and bulbs as needed.
• Assist with vehicle inspections and minor repairs.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organized in the tire and service department.
