Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking a General Service Technician to perform basic automotive services such as oil changes, tire maintenance, and safety inspections while delivering excellent customer experiences. You will work in a fast-paced tire and service department, maintain clean and organized spaces, and assist other technicians when needed.

The role emphasizes learning, safety, and adherence to company policies, with opportunities to grow through training and hands-on experience in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical.
• Change engine oil and filter.
• Install and perform tire maintenance.
• Install batteries and check starting / charging systems.
• Assist fellow technicians and keep the shop organized and safe.
• Stock and manage tires and parts as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety and environmental rules.
