Job summary

VIP Tires & Service in Topsham, ME is seeking an Installation Technician to perform tire services, maintenance, and inspections while upholding VIP’s safety and customer service standards.

The role requires one year of automotive service experience, a valid driver’s license, and completion of two-year college or technical school (or equivalent). ASE certifications and state inspection license are preferred. Standard 40-hour work week with hourly, non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service field.
• Completion of a two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license required.
• Equipment Safety Certification and ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) recommended.
• State Inspection License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide automotive repair and maintenance services including tires, oil changes, and MPI inspections.
• Follow safety policies and perform work to VIP quality standards.
• Initiate service work orders and ensure proper documentation and display during service.
• Return unused parts to the desk team and manage cores and waste appropriately.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and participate in shop maintenance programs.
