Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking an Automotive Flat-Rate Technician to join our Maryland service team. You will perform high-quality repairs in a fast-paced environment, diagnose and test systems, and road-test vehicles to verify fixes.

Maintain safety standards and communicate repair progress to service advisors, while participating in ongoing training to stay current with technology. The role requires a valid driver's license with a clean record and a high school diploma or equivalent; ASE

Qualifications

• Experience as an Automotive Flat-Rate Technician is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• ASE certification(s) or other specialized area certifications (brakes, electrical/electronic systems or engine performance) are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment.
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology.
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.

Compensation: The pay for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr. based on experience.
