Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is seeking experienced Automotive Flag Technicians to join our team in the Baltimore, MD area. You will perform high-quality repairs, run comprehensive diagnostics, and communicate repair status to customers and advisors, in a fast-paced service environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as an automotive technician required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• ASE certification(s) or certification in brakes/electrical/engine preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and work ethic.
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times for customer communication.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Compensation: The pay reasonably expected for this position is $25 - $52 per hour based on experience.
