Job summary

Acura of Honolulu is hiring Service Technicians (Class A, B, and C) to perform repairs per repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in line with Lithia and manufacturer standards. This is a full-time, flat-rate position offering pay between $25.00 and $55.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

We seek candidates with ASE certifications (Master preferred) and at least two years of automotive tech experience, capable of diagnosing malfunctions, road-testing, and documenting work

Qualifications

• Passed manufacturer training and can perform repairs in listed areas without supervision.
• Lube and maintenance services expertise.
• Engine repair capability.
• Suspension and steering repair.
• Brake repair proficiency.
• Heating and A/C repair (optional).

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work per repair order with efficiency per Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete work according to safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to verify repair quality.
• Record time spent on repairs using time clock procedures.
• Document work on repair orders and test results.
• Return tools to proper place and keep workspace organized.
• Ensure customer vehicles are clean after service.
• Complete required training and maintain ASE certifications.
• Participate in training and review technical bulletins.

• Schedule: Full Time
• Pay: $25.00-$55.00 per Flat Rate Hours

What You’ll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
• Return special tools to proper place.
• Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, completing a stall cleaning every day.
• Ensure that customer’s vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
• Complete all required training.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.
• Participate in and utilize technical training as assigned by management.
• Review the technical bulletins and other publications as assigned by management.

• Minimum of 1 ASE certifications (Should be an ASE Master Technician)
• Customer Pay Proficiency Level: Greater than 100% Customer Pay Repairs
• Automotive Technical Knowledge – Two+ years of experience experience

Total Rewards

This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes Production Productivity.

The average wage range for this position is $25.00-$55.00 per Flat Rate Hour.

Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
