Job summary

Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform repairs and maintenance at Northlake KIA. You will diagnose issues, communicate with the team, and uphold dealer standards while building customer trust. This role offers growth through manufacturer certifications and paid training.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order to dealer/factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanics.
• Stay current on factory bulletins and attend training courses.
• Keep management informed of mechanical issues as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area and assist as needed.

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for our next Automotive Service Technician. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing, fast-paced industry. Located at Northlake KIA, the Automotive Service Technician will be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
