Ourisman Automotive Group in Bethesda seeks an experienced Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of vehicles ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

You will perform diagnostics, routine services, test drives, and maintain detailed service records while collaborating with Advisors. Strong communication with customers is expected, along with adherence to manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years automotive technician experience in a dealership environment.
• Applicable certifications and trainings.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex issues.
• Physical stamina: lifting heavy parts and standing long hours.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluids checks.
• Test drive and verify repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Maintain detailed service records of work and parts used.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors and other technicians for efficient workflow.
• Explain repairs and maintenance needs to customers when appropriate.

Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Service Technician to join our team. The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring that our customers receive safe and reliable service.

More about the role

• Perform accurate diagnostics on vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues and carry out necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Test drive vehicles and utilize diagnostic tools to ensure repairs are completed successfully and to manufacturer standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed, parts used, and services recommended.
• Work closely with Service Advisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Occasionally communicate with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needs.

What we look for

• At least 3 years of previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic in a dealership enviroment.
• Applicable certifications and technical trainings.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and technical manuals.
