Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Service Technician at Napleton's Arlington Heights Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to perform vehicle repairs and maintenance to dealer and factory standards. You will diagnose problems, communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors, and build trust with customers by delivering reliable service.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience.
• ASE certification desirable.
• All OEM experience is welcome.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to undergo background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on repair orders to dealer/factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses to non‑mechanical individuals, including customers.
• Keep up with factory technical bulletins and attend factory‑sponsored training.
• Maintain an organized work area and inform management of repair problems as they occur.

Located at Napleton's Arlington Heights Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram,the Automotive Service Technician will be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• All OEM experience is welcom
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
