You will dispatch repair orders, assign work to technicians, and ensure the shop runs efficiently while maintaining high quality and customer satisfaction.

The role connects service advisors with technicians, requiring strong organizational and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive repair shop or dealership service department preferred.
• Understanding of automotive repair processes, technician skill levels, and service department workflow.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and assign work to technicians based on skill, certifications, experience, availability, and workload.
• Maximize shop efficiency by monitoring workflow and minimizing downtime.
• Balance workload to ensure repair orders move through the department on schedule.
• Match jobs to technician capabilities for complex vs routine tasks.
• Monitor progress and adjust assignments to keep production moving.
• Coordinate with service advisors on priorities, availability, and ETA.
• Support technicians by resolving workflow issues and clarifying priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and labor-hour efficiency.
• Maintain quality standards and adherence to dealership and Ford procedures.
• Promote accountability and maintain a high-performing service department.
