Job summary

Vito Rinaldi Chevrolet in Shenandoah, PA is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our service department, improve efficiency, and ensure exceptional customer service. You will oversee daily operations and supervise technicians and staff to maintain high performance.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, deep automotive knowledge, and a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Manager or in a similar supervisory role within the automotive service industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor service department staff.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of automotive repair services and maintenance processes.
• Professional, well-groomed personal appearance.
• Clean driving record
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen.
• Facilitate training programs offered by the manufacturer and company ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the service department to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
• Supervise, train, and motivate service technicians and staff to maintain high performance and quality standards.
• Review the distribution of daily workflow between technicians.
• Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
• Provide concierge support for all owner inquiries, whether via phone or in person, to ensure the customer does not get mishandled.
• Coordinate service schedules, manage workflow, and ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed promptly.
• Monitor service department performance metrics and implement improvements where necessary.
