Job summary

VIP Automotive is seeking a Service Manager to lead a busy service department and uphold the mission to earn automotive customers for life. You will build a capable team, ensure safety, compliance, and excellent customer service across all shifts.

The role requires strong leadership, two years in automotive service management, ASE certifications, and a focus on coaching, scheduling, and managing operations to meet customer needs.

• Strong people management and leadership skills, motivational, supportive, assertive and decisive.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Sound business sense with the ability to analyze, prioritize, identify and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build an extraordinary team that delivers a different and better customer experience.
• Hire the best associates in the area.
• Develop a superior team and ensure LMS training is completed by all associates.
• Schedule the team to meet customer needs across all hours.
• Communicate with the team through daily huddles and bi-monthly meetings.
• Train and deliver the 5 for 5 process to educate customers about their vehicle conditions.
• Control dispatching and work-order assignment to technicians.
• Attend off-site meetings and training sessions as needed.
