Job summary

South Point Dodge in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department and drive performance across profitability, customer satisfaction, and operations. Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling and workflow.
• Own department profitability — labor and parts gross, effective labor rate, hours per RO, and expense control
• Drive customer satisfaction and retention, CSI / Service NPS targets
• Coach and develop service advisors and technicians; recruit and retain top talent
• Oversee warranty administration and ensure claims are submitted accurately and within manufacturer deadlines
• Maximize technician productivity and efficiency through dispatching and performance management
• Maintain compliance with manufacturer standards, safety regulations, and all applicable state and federal requirements
• Partner with sales and parts departments to support overall dealership performance
• Monitor key metrics daily and build action plans to close performance gaps
• Reports to: General Manager / Fixed Operations Director
• Compensation: $120,000 – $180,000 per year (base + performance bonus)
