Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of automotive shop management experience.
• At least 1 year of sales experience or demonstrated ability to sell.
• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage shop staff to meet objectives and sales targets.
• Enforce company values, policies, and systems.
• Approve timecards, schedules, and HR practices with District/Regional Manager.
• Coach employees and conduct timely performance reviews.
• Manage workflow using shop management systems and prioritize work to optimize results.
• Hire, onboard, train, and train new staff as needed.
• Interview and make hiring recommendations; assist with terminations as needed.
• Perform inventory management and warranty/vendor credit administration.
• Handle daily cash reconciliation and deposits; route vendor invoices for payment.
• Sell repairs and services following company guidelines.
• Control costs while maintaining customer service and quality.
• Handle customer service issues and feedback; coach staff on service improvements.
• Recommend shop equipment purchases; maintain shop safety with audits.
• Perform Service Advisor duties in absence of one; other duties as assigned.
