Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) in Needham Heights, MA to develop into a store leadership role.

The candidate will learn VIP customer service standards, safety policies, and team management while overseeing daily operations and training initiatives. The role emphasizes staffing, coaching, process discipline, and compliance with regulations, with opportunities to advance as part of a structured program.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in automotive service management
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
• Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
• ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
• ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
• State Inspection License Required (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace safety as Priority #1 and follow safety policies
• Learn VIP processes and build an extraordinary team
• Hire and develop staff, ensure LMS and vendor trainings are completed
• Schedule team to meet customers' needs across all hours
• Communicate with team via daily huddles and store meetings
• Train and deliver the 5 for 5 process to educate customers about vehicle conditions
• Distribute work orders to technicians based on first available capable worker
• Attend off-site meetings and training as needed
• Maintain facility and equipment and ensure a clean service department
• Enforce compliance with service ethics and regulations
• Communicate with management to ensure policy adherence
