Job summary

DARCARS of Greenwich is seeking an Automotive Service Cashier / Receptionist to be the front-line ambassador of the dealership. You will greet customers, direct them to the right department, answer basic inquiries, and support sales with clerical tasks.

The role requires professional communication, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule. Prior customer service experience is helpful, and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Speak clearly on the telephone and in person to convey professionalism
• Strong communication with customers and employees
• Ability to speak multiple languages (Spanish) is a plus
• Commitment to customer service
• Read, understand, and follow policy documents
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required
• Sit for long periods; work in a fast-paced environment
• Be a team player with a flexible schedule
• Maintain valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Minimum age 18 and GED/diploma completed

Responsibilities

• Greet showroom customers and determine the nature of their visit
• Direct customers to the correct department or salesperson
• Answer basic inquiries and refer complex questions to the right person
• Enter data into the prospect tracking system
• Manage the switchboard and distribute messages timely
• Provide basic information to callers
• Update telephone roster as needed
• Perform clerical and accounting duties as assigned
• Serve as showroom greeter and support sales staff
• Handle transaction receipts for service and sales as applicable
