Napleton's Schaumburg Buick GMC is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. You will be the primary contact for customers, bridging the gap between customers and our certified technicians from drop-off to delivery.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of service-advisor or service-writer experience, a proven track record of strong CSI scores, excellent communication, and the ability to clearly explain repairs and costs. This in-person role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer.
• Demonstrated track record of above-average CSI and sales performance.
• Experience with multi-line or brand-specific dealerships is a plus.

Responsibilities

Napleton's Schaumburg Buick GMC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services — bridging the gap between the customer and our certified technicians. Your ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and manage the service experience from drop-off to delivery will be the foundation of our customer satisfaction scores.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service, consistently achieving strong CSI scores
• Serve as the primary communicator between the customer and service technicians, ensuring full transparency on all work performed
• Keep customers informed with timely and accurate updates throughout the service process
• Accurately verify warranty coverage and service contract terms
• Prepare and process repair orders accurately, including all costs, deductibles, and descriptions of symptoms and services
• Advise customers on additional recommended services and clearly explain the benefits
• Effectively collaborate with technicians to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery
• Manage your service drive workload with a sense of urgency and attention to detail

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer experience (1 year minimum)
• Proven track record of above-average sales performance and CSI scores
• Multi-line or brand-specific dealership experience is a plus
• Tekion dealership management software experience is a plus
• Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and the ability to work with urgency
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to make every customer feel like the most important customer of the day
