Job summary

Brakes Plus in Kyle, TX seeks an Automotive Service Advisor to lead the service department under the Store Manager. You will develop a high-performance team, drive efficiency, and ensure an industry-leading customer experience while coordinating with technicians and service staff.

Responsibilities include supervising shop activities, scheduling tasks, managing parts, maintaining safety, and upholding company standards. 2+ years in a service advisor role preferred.

Qualifications

• Outstanding leadership and store management abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of mentoring others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and team members.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Advisor/Writer role.
• Proven track record of exceeding business objectives.
• Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws.

Responsibilities

• Directly works with customers in areas of sales, service, customer opportunities, adjustments, etc.
• Creates a highly motivated team environment and climate.
• Supervising technicians and service personnel, planning and scheduling their duties, assigning work, and following up on completion of assignments
• Coaching service department teammates on all operational issues
• Evaluating performance and productivity of service department personnel
• Managing parts inventory and outside purchases, and restocking in-house parts as needed
• Ensuring store safety and proper inspections
• Supervising shop area, equipment and teammates for compliance with safety procedures
