Qualifications

• Previous automotive Service Advisor/Service Consultant experience required.
• Dealership service experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of automotive maintenance and repair.
• Ability to understand and explain technician recommendations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to confidently present repair recommendations and overcome objections.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong computer and automotive software skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and accurately document customer concerns.
• Write detailed repair orders based on customer concerns and technician recommendations.
• Clearly explain recommended maintenance and repairs.
• Present repair estimates and obtain customer authorization.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers throughout the repair process.
• Monitor vehicle progress and keep customers informed of changes or delays.
• Recommend maintenance and repairs based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle condition.
• Review completed repairs with customers and explain work performed.
• Coordinate effectively with technicians, parts personnel, and management.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and follow dealership processes.
• Work toward department sales, gross profit, CSI, and productivity goals.
• Follow up with customers regarding declined services and future maintenance needs.
• Provide an exceptional ownership experience from check-in through delivery.
