Job summary

Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships is seeking an Experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Assistant Service Manager for a full-time role. You will deliver a professional service experience, greet customers, schedule and manage timelines, and coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient repairs.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years as an advisor or 1+ year as an assistant manager, with strong customer service and sales skills, and proficiency with dealership service systems.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as Automotive Service Advisor/Service Writer or 1+ year as Assistant Service Manager.
• Proven customer service and sales/up-selling skills.
• Strong communication, organization and follow-through.
• Comfortable with computers and dealership service systems.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean or near-clean driving record.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a professional, high-quality service experience from check-in to completion.
• Greet service customers and manage inbound service calls.
• Schedule appointments and communicate service timelines.
• Present repair and maintenance estimates clearly and confidently.
• Coordinate repair orders with Technicians and monitor workflow.
• Recommend additional services when appropriate.
• Support daily service operations and administrative processes.
• Help maintain parts inventory and enforce service policies.
