Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive training or certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a customer-facing role within a dealership or automotive service environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance, repair processes, and vehicle systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Proven ability to upsell recommended maintenance and repairs based on vehicle needs.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers and tasks.
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar) and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, parts staff, and management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by scheduling appointments, greeting customers, and managing the service process from write-up through vehicle delivery.
• Create accurate repair orders, document customer concerns, and provide clear estimates for services, costs, and timelines.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, technicians, and parts personnel to ensure seamless communication.
• Keep customers informed with proactive updates and address questions during the service process.
• Review multi-point inspections and confidently recommend maintenance and repairs that improve safety and reliability.
• Build trust and long-term relationships through professionalism and transparent service.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules, warranties, and dealership offerings.
• Utilize dealership systems to document customer interactions, repair recommendations, approvals, and completed services.
• Consistently achieve customer satisfaction, sales, and performance goals in a fast-paced environment.
