Job summary

Kirby Kia of Ventura is seeking an experienced, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor. This role is ideal for a seasoned advisor who can manage a busy service drive, explain repair recommendations clearly, and build lasting customer relationships.

The position requires prior automotive dealership service advisor experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment. Kia/Hyundai experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a dealership service advisor is required.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with dealership management systems and warranty processes.
• Kia or Hyundai dealership experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact between customers and the service department.

• Explain recommended maintenance, repairs, estimates, and completion timelines.
• Obtain customer approval before authorizing additional work.
• Coordinate with technicians and parts staff to monitor repair progress.
• Verify warranty or service-contract coverage and obtain applicable authorizations.
• Keep customers informed about changes in cost, timing, and vehicle status.
• Review completed work and final invoices with customers.
• Maintain accurate records and follow dealership procedures.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: Annual earnings range of $50,000-$100,000, depending on experience and dealership approval.
• Benefits: Benefits package and eligibility details will be discussed during the interview.
• Schedule: Specific work hours and Saturday requirements will be discussed during the interview.
