Group 1 Automotive, Inc. is hiring Service Advisors in the Tulsa area to serve as the trusted link between customers and the service department.

You will help clients understand maintenance and repair needs while delivering an outstanding ownership experience, combining customer service, sales, and automotive knowledge. The role welcomes either prior Service Advisor experience or a background in automotive, customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales, with training and growth opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as Automotive Service Advisor or in a customer-facing role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to upsell maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and greet customers, guiding service from write-up to delivery.
• Prepare accurate repair orders and estimates.
• Act as primary liaison between customers, technicians, and parts staff.
• Provide proactive updates and manage expectations during the service process.
• Identify maintenance needs and recommend services to improve safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by scheduling appointments, greeting customers, and efficiently managing the service process from write-up through vehicle delivery.


• Create accurate repair orders, document customer concerns, and provide clear estimates for recommended services, costs, and completion timelines.


• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers, technicians, and parts personnel to ensure seamless communication and timely repairs.


• Keep customers informed throughout the service process by providing proactive updates, managing expectations, and addressing questions or concerns.


• Review multi-point inspections and confidently recommend maintenance and repair services that enhance vehicle performance, safety, and reliability.


• Build trust and long-term customer relationships through professionalism, transparency, and outstanding service.


• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules, manufacturer recommendations, warranties, and dealership service offerings.


• Utilize dealership systems to accurately document customer interactions, repair recommendations, approvals, and completed services.


• Consistently achieve customer satisfaction, sales, and performance goals in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving recordHigh school diploma or equivalent required; additional automotive training or certifications are a plus


• Prior experience as an Automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a customer-facing role within a dealership or automotive service environment preferred


• Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance, repair processes, and vehicle systems


• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear, professional manner


• Proven ability to upsell recommended maintenance and repairs based on vehicle needs


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customers and tasks in a fast-paced environment


• Proficiency with dealership management systems (such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar) and basic computer skills


• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, parts staff, and management
