Job summary

Group 1 Automotive in San Antonio, TX is seeking customer-focused Automotive Service Advisors to join our high-performing service teams. You will be the primary contact between customers and the service department, guiding maintenance needs and ensuring a positive, efficient experience from intake to delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Solid sales aptitude with ability to recommend maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to build relationships and work with customers.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Basic computer and technology skills are required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, ensuring an outstanding service experience.
• Listen to customer concerns and document vehicle service needs accurately.
• Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and inspections.
• Communicate repair recommendations, costs, and timelines clearly to customers.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely vehicle delivery.
• Keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
• Review completed work with customers and explain services performed.
• Maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.
• Meet or exceed customer satisfaction and sales goals.
• Demonstrate Group 1's values in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience required.
• Previous dealership experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong sales aptitude with the ability to recommend maintenance and repairs needed.
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Goal-oriented with a desire to achieve performance objectives.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
