Job summary

Best Chevrolet, Inc. in Hingham, MA is seeking a Service Advisor to greet customers, listen to their needs, and schedule appointments in one of the region’s busiest service departments.

This role offers base pay plus commission with a pay range of $70,000 to $120,000. Eligible benefits include health & dental, 401(k), paid time off, employee discounts, and hands-on training. 1–2 years automotive experience and a strong focus on customer satisfaction are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of prior automotive experience preferred.
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant preferred.
• Very energetic personality.
• A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization.
• Personal and professional integrity.
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance base on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers

On a daily basis the dealership has between 80 and 100 customers dropping off their vehicles for a wide range of services.

This is an opportunity for a serious advisor who has the ability to work in one of the busiest service departments in the region.

The responsibilities of a Service Advisor include greeting customers, listening to their needs, and scheduling appointments as needed. They may also set up loaner cars and verify insurance before maintenance is scheduled.

Pay Range: $70,000 up to $120,000 with base plus commission.

• Compensation varies based on experience, sales performance, CSI scores, training level, and overall productivity.
