Job summary

ZF Group seeks a Technical Specialist to serve as the subject matter expert for automotive semiconductor functional safety and cybersecurity. You will evaluate components for ISO 26262 compliance, review supplier safety work products, and assess safety mechanisms and hardware metrics.

You will lead cybersecurity assessments and mentor teams across safety and security activities. The role requires a strong background in electrical/electronic engineering, 5+ years in automotive electronics, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years' experience with automotive electronics, semiconductor devices, and supplier engagement.
Strong knowledge of ISO 26262, semiconductor functional safety, hardware safety analysis, FMEA/FMEDA, and Safety Manuals.

Responsibilities

Serve as subject matter expert for semiconductor functional safety and cybersecurity in automotive applications.
Evaluate components for ISO 26262 at the component level, including SEooC devices.
Review supplier safety work products and supporting technical evidence.
Assess safety mechanisms, diagnostic coverage, and hardware safety metrics.
Lead cybersecurity assessments in line with ISO/SAE 21434.
Collaborate with suppliers and engineering teams providing leadership and mentoring.
