Job summary

TekWissen seeks a Technical Specialist, Functional Safety Engineer to lead ISO 26262 activities for automotive systems. You will develop safety requirements, lead hazard analyses, and validate safety concepts with cross-functional teams.

The role requires strong writing and communication skills, experience with safety tools (Medini, Jama), and a track record of delivering safety analyses in an OEM/Tier1 environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of ISO 26262 and major safety work products.
• 1+ year of SOTIF analysis experience and related artifacts.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering functional safety analyses to improve safety.
• Experience supporting external reviews of functional safety work products.
• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to all business levels.
• Experience with safety tools and requirements management tools.
• Advocate for safety across hardware and software development.
• Excellent writing, verbal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of functional safety system requirements and decomposition.
• Review and approve HARA, safety requirements, and validation tests.
• Collaborate to define architecture from a functional safety perspective.
• Oversee FS documents for suppliers and partners.
• Drive development of FS processes and tools.
• Oversee program FS readiness metrics.
• Lead SOTIF requirements for autonomous driving.
• Define functional safety concepts for system, hardware, and software.
• Coordinate with hardware, software, design and validation engineers.
• Develop hazard analysis and safety concepts with cross-functional teams.
• Support FS validation tests and interface definitions.
• Operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with minimal oversight.
