Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks a seasoned Functional Safety Lead in Georgia to establish and own the Functional Safety Management (FSM) system, drive HARA, and set Safety Goals for Powertrain, Chassis, and ADAS. You will derive FSC/TSC and coordinate cross-functional hardware/software teams while guiding supplier safety compliance.

The role requires 7+ years in automotive engineering with ISO 26262 experience, a BS/MS in engineering, and US work eligibility.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in automotive engineering with ISO 26262 focus.
• Certification: ISO 26262 Functional Safety Professional/Expert required.
• BS/MS in a related engineering discipline and US work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Establish and own the FSM system, defining toolchains and templates.
• Lead Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) and set Safety Goals for vehicle systems.
• Derive Functional and Technical Safety Concepts (FSC/TSC) across hardware and software teams.
• Manage suppliers by defining safety requirements and auditing components against ASIL targets.
• Compile comprehensive Safety Cases to justify road-readiness.
• Build, train, and mentor a growing portfolio of safety engineers.
