Job summary

LaFontaine Automotive Group in Michigan is seeking an Automotive Sales Consultant to engage customers, demonstrate vehicle features, and close deals. You will assess customer needs, present options, and guide buyers through the purchase process with a focus on customer satisfaction and long-term relationships.

This role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A valid license and prior sales or customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Sales, hospitality, or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on sales floor and assess vehicle needs.
• Explain features and demonstrate vehicle operation.
• Suggest optional equipment for purchase.
• Research model availability and options.
• Consult with Sales Manager to quote sales price including tax and financing.
• Prepare paperwork and applications.
• Deliver new vehicle and explain features, warranties, and paperwork.
• Maintain prospect development system.
• Stay informed on new products and features.
• Attend sales meetings and training.
• Adhere to company policies.
• Meet or exceed sales forecasts.
