Job summary

Capital City Ford in Pierre, SD is seeking an Automotive Sales Associate to join our new car sales team. You will engage customers, explain options, and help them find the right vehicle.

Ideal candidates have automotive sales experience, strong communication, and a customer‑focused mindset. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required; background checks may be performed.

Qualifications

• Automotive sales background preferred.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic presence in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering questions and helping select a vehicle.
• Selling a minimum number of vehicles based on goals defined by the sales manager.
• Explaining product performance, options, benefits and equipment to prospects.
• Reviewing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly actions to improve time management.
• Offering test drives and ensuring proper identification prior to test drive.
