We are looking for a highly motivated individual to share our passion for success . Our Sales Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the Sales Department while measuring the performance of the employees within it. Applicants must be able to utilize our technology. Ford and Reynolds/Vin Solutions experience preferred. Must be comfortable with training sales staff, making phone calls, and growing a team.

High-energy, positive, out-going individuals with strong verbal communication skills that can effectively communicate through telephone, email, and text messaging. Must be willing to work weekdays, Saturdays, and evenings.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
  • Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
  • Attend managers’ meetings as requested.
  • Assist the General Sales Manager in forecasting controllable expense elements for the new-vehicle department.
  • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect new-vehicle sales.
  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all sales employees.
  • Follow company rules for safeguarding customer information at all times.
  • Direct and schedule the activities of all sales department employees.
  • Oversee the efforts of vehicle salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction rating of the dealership.
  • Communicate with salespeople to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.
  • Monitor salespeople’s attendance records.
  • Set sales and gross objectives for salespeople.
  • Guide all salespeople in setting their objectives on a short and long range basis.
  • Review all salespeople’s performance as shown on the Daily Sales Operating Reports.
  • Assist in developing programs of improvement for those salespeople who are failing to reach their objectives.
  • Conduct daily and weekly sales training meetings as directed by the General Sales Manager.
  • Work with salespeople on programs that will increase new-car gross and F&I penetration.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the use of a prospecting program.
  • Help your team members close deals when necessary.
  • Maintain standards for the delivery of vehicles to customers.
  • Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a team.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Minimum two (2) years of sales management experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Professional personal appearance.
  • Excellent communication skills through phone, text, email, and in person.
  • High energy with a positive, out-going attitude
