Johnson Hyundai of Apex is a flagship Johnson Automotive group dealership seeking an Automotive Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team on the Apex showroom floor. You will coach, develop, and hold staff accountable while driving customer experience, profitability, and performance metrics.

Ideal candidates bring proven automotive retail leadership, a strong grasp of CRM utilization, and the ability to structure deals.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive retail sales experience with demonstrated success.
• Leadership experience in automotive sales or teams.
• Strong knowledge of dealership sales operations and processes.
• Experience structuring and desking automotive transactions.
• Strong coaching, leadership, and performance-management skills.
• Ability to establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
• CRM utilization, lead management, follow-up, and prospecting.
• Interpret sales reports and translate into action.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Customer-focused approach and professional handling of concerns.
• Ability to work with Sales Consultants, Finance, and other departments.
• Comfort with dealership tech and manufacturer platforms.
• High standards of professionalism and integrity.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Availability to work retail automotive schedule, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the Sales team to achieve goals.
• Maintain presence on the sales floor and provide real-time coaching.
• Conduct deal reviews and structure profitable transactions.
• Collaborate with Finance & Insurance for seamless delivery.
• Monitor activity, leads, follow-up, and KPIs.
• Maintain CRM and sales processes.
• Coach, performance discussions, and sales meetings.
• Identify training and development needs.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, training, retention.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
